Charnwood Island I is available in South Africa on SPECIAL ORDER so please check lead times with your Charnwood dealer. The Island I (one) is the entry level model in the iconic Island range with a respectable 7 KW (max) output. This means that this fireplace is suitable for a space of up to approx. 175 mᶟ.
The phenomenal performance of the Island 1 is borne out through it’s exceptional test results. 85% efficiency when burning wood and an extremely low smoke particle level of 9mg/m3 (the Ecodesign limit is 40mg/m3).
This combination of classic design and cutting edge technology make the Island 1 a very popular choice in the UK where exemptions are made for stoves with a nominal output of 5KW. Although larger stoves are often preferred here in South Africa, we are more than happy to order the Island I and we carry all the necessary spares to support your purchase.
