Charnwood South Africa are a Cape Town based company and we are proud of our a long standing partnership with A J Wells & Sons Ltd who trade as Charnwood UK. Charnwood are designers and manufacturers of some of the the finest wood and multi-fuel heating appliances avalable in the world today.
Our relationship with the Charnwood UK family here in South Africa now spans over 25 years. We are proud to hold claim to being the sole South African importers of British made Charnwood closed combustion stoves. Like A J Wells & Sons, we are a family business with a small but dedicated team and our warehouse based in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town, South Africa.
How do we work to provide you with the finest heaters available in South Africa today?
As representatives of this prestigious brand, we at Charnwood South Africa take our responsibility to provide personal and expert advice to our South African customers very seriously. Because we are the importers/distributors, we do not retail our stoves direct to the public but through our network of independent retailers throughout South Africa (click here for info). However, we are always happy to provide technical expertise to you, the end user so feel free to contact us if you have any questions regarding the Charnwood range of heaters.
What are “closed combustion stoves”?

Where is our warehouse?
Our warehouse is not open to the public. However, you can view our products at our authorized Charnwood dealers located throughout South Africa. You can find them based in Somerset West, Cape Town, Johannesburg, Durban, Garden Route, Pietermaritzburg, Free State and elsewhere.
