However, despite their great expertise in this industry, Charnwood choose only to offer a ‘black’ enameled stove (the ‘SLX’ range). Why not more colours?
Vitreous enamel finishes are very sensitive to ‘over-firing’ which can cause ‘cracking’ in the finish. As a result, you will find that very few (if any) manufacturers will guarantee the finish on an enameled stove. Charnwood pride themselves on offering a consistently high quality of finish on their colour stoves. By using their bespoke range of high quality heat resistant coatings (paint), the customer gets a consistently high quality finish that is long lasting and easy to renew or even change time and time again during the life of the stove.
