Charnwood have been manufacturing boiler stoves for more than 2 decades and have forged a reputation in the UK as a leader in this form of home heating. While running a boiler stove, your fire also heats a sealed loop of very hot water. This loop circulates through heating appliances before returning back to the boiler once cooled for re-heating.
All of our boiler stoves are special order so please check lead times with your supplier.
The Charnwood Cove 2B is a wood-burning stove with an integral boiler. It can provide a combined nominal output of up to 16KW when burning anthracite. This is split 9.3KW from the boiler and 7.1KW to the room. When burning wood, the Cove 2B will produce 11KW. 6.4KW from the boiler and 4.6KW radiated into the room.
As with the other models in the boiler range, this energy can be used to run radiators, underfloor heating, hot water geysers and more. For example:
- 200 litre geyser + 6-9 radiators
- 200 litre geyser + 50-100m² underfloor heating
- Any other combination of hot water and/or hot water fed heating to suit your needs
- Any surplus energy can be utilised to heat a Jacuzzi or pool.
Installing a boiler stove is not a project for your average DIY enthusiast. For this reason we recommend you work with an expert in wood-fired central heating systems to ensure your investment gives you the results you want. Hydrofire operate in the Western Cape and Gauteng. They can offer expert advice on these type of installations along with all the extra equipment necessary to make your installation work.
Although a wood-fired central heating system is a sizeable investment, the pay-off can mean ‘off-grid’ heating and hot water during the winter months. This makes the Charnwood Cove 2B great solution for many.
